
Even in a slow life, impatience shows up.
Sometimes I wish the veggies would grow faster, the eggs would lay sooner, the house would get finished already.
But I’m learning to hold that tension with gentleness.
Nature is not in a rush. Neither are chickens. Neither is the garden.
Maybe it’s okay if I’m not either.
Progress is still happening. Even when I can’t see it yet.
